Questions

Questions about building a website

These are the questions people actually ask us. The answers are honest, including the ones where the answer is not what you would like to hear.

Price andpayment

How much does a website cost?

It depends on the business and how big the site is. That is why we have no price list: it would be wrong for you and for us. After ten minutes of talking we know enough to give a real number, and that number does not change along the way.

Why not at least a rough price?

Because a rough price helps nobody. If we say “from X”, people remember X and then feel cheated when their site turns out bigger. We would rather say the real number once.

How do I pay?

Half before the work starts, half when the site is done and you have said it is right. No subscriptions you cannot remember agreeing to.

Are there hidden costs?

No. The build price is the build price. Hosting and maintenance are a separate monthly item and you know about it in advance. The domain is paid to the registrar once a year and that is not our income. Extras are only taken if you want them and never appear on an invoice without being agreed.

Do I have to take hosting with you?

You do not. If you have your own hosting we work on it. Most people leave it with us anyway because they do not want to deal with renewals, certificates and emails in English.

Really one day? Where is the catch?

There is no catch, but let's be precise: the build takes one day and you are live on day two. Day one we build the site, day two is the domain, connecting it and the certificate. A site without an address is no use to anyone, so it is fair to count both days.

The catch is elsewhere: an agency does not work on your site for a month, your site sits in a queue for a month. When we start yours, that day we work on nothing else. The only condition is that we have all the details before we start.

Why two days and not one?

Because of the domain. If you already have one, connecting it is quick. If you do not, it has to be bought and given time to work. That is where day two goes, and it does not depend on us.

We would rather say two and surprise you pleasantly than promise one and then make excuses.

Does fast mean bad?

Look at the site you are on right now. We built it at the same pace.

What if I have no logo?

We work without one. We make a typographic solution with your business name that looks clean and serious. If you get a real logo later, we drop it in.

What if I have no photos?

Tell us straight away and we will agree on an approach. There are options: a design that does not depend on photos, or photos we source. Still, it is better to send us bad photos than none, because something can usually be made of them.

What if I have no domain?

We sort it together before the build. A domain is your site's address, something like yourbusiness.com, and it is paid to the registrar once a year. It is not expensive and it is not complicated, it just has to be ready before the site goes live.

Do I have to come to a meeting?

No. Everything can be done over WhatsApp and the phone. If you prefer in person and you are nearby, that works too.

I do not understand any of this. Is that a problem?

No, that is the normal state of things. You are an expert in your work, not in the web. Our job is not to ask you anything you should not have to know.

Changes andrevisions

How many revisions before the site goes live?

Two rounds are included in every package. In the first round you say everything that bothers you and we fix it. In the second we polish the details. In practice it almost always ends in the first, because the site is built from your details and not from guesswork. If something is still wrong after two rounds, we do not leave you with it.

What counts as a change after launch?

A change is a price, opening hours, a phone number or address, swapping a photo, adding or rewriting a paragraph. Anything that takes half an hour.

Not a change: a new page, a new section, a new design or a shop. That is new work and it is agreed separately, at a price we tell you in advance.

How many changes do I get per month?

Two, on the maintenance package. If you need more in a given month, tell us and we will sort it out, we are not going to split hairs over one extra. If you constantly need more than two, it means you need a bigger arrangement and we will tell you that honestly instead of charging per item.

Why are changes not unlimited?

Because that would mean everyone pays for the one person who messages every day. This way you pay for what you actually use, and we have time to handle your change the same day instead of in a week.

What youactually get

Will the site work on a phone?

Yes, and it is a priority rather than an extra. Most people will open your site on a phone, often standing somewhere in the street. We test on mobile first.

Will I be first on Google?

Nobody can promise you that, and anyone who does is lying. What we do on every site: titles, descriptions and a structure Google understands, plus speed and a mobile layout that Google rewards. That is a fair starting position and for local searches it is often enough.

For local searches, where you compete with a handful of firms from your own town, we have local SEO and there you really can reach the top. Fighting nationally takes months of work on content and that is a job of its own, which we do not sell on the side.

Can I edit the site myself later?

You do not have to, and that is deliberate. Tell us what needs changing and we do it, usually the same day. That way the site stays tidy and fast instead of falling apart after the third edit.

Is the site mine?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name and the site is yours.

Do you write the copy or do I?

We do. You send us the details about the business and we write from that. If you want something said in your own words, send it over and we will use it.

Group five

Afterlaunch

Are we your clients or partners?

Partners, and that is not a figure of speech. The site is not goods we deliver before disappearing. It is a tool that has to bring you new people, and that only shows after launch.

So we watch whether people get in touch and change what stops them. When it goes well for you, it goes well for us, because in a small place word gets around about who built the site that works.

What if I want to stop working together?

There is no year long contract. You cancel the monthly maintenance whenever you want.

What if in a year I need a bigger site or a shop?

Get in touch. An upgrade is always easier than starting from scratch, because we already have everything of yours.

Do you work with businesses outside Croatia?

Yes. We work across the region, and the site can be built in English as well.

No answer toyour question?

Ask directly. We reply the same day and we do not sell anything over the phone.
